We woke up to a sweet summer morning today!
The sunlight was making its way through the trees in the front yard,
birds were chirping,
and squirrels were scampering!
I went out in my nightgown to the side of the house to pick our breakfast from the blueberry bushes growing there.
It didn't take long to pick enough to enjoy with a steaming cup of coffee
But as I rounded the corner back to the front door......
...the peaceful ambience of our bucolic morning
was rudely interrupted by mid-renovation reality! :-(
Sigh....
Bigger sigh......
But, in unpleasant circumstances it is best to focus on the bright spots,
so we're going to sit down to the freshest of breakfasts and count our blessings!
Love ya'll,
Shelli
It doesn't hurt to be optimistic. You can always cry later.
~Lucimar Santos de Lima
A pessimist sees only the dark side of the clouds, and mopes; a philosopher sees both sides, and shrugs; an optimist doesn't see the clouds at all — he's walking on them.
~Leonard Louis Levinson
An optimist is someone who figures that if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck,
it's the bluebird of happiness.
